Devon
County Council Partnership .... The Underhill Group are now fully operational on the Devon County Council Partnership for Small Works, Minor Works and Reactive Maintenance in the East B area of Devon. Work had been phased from November 2003 until April 1st 2004, when Underhill Building Services went live and adopted 100% responsibility for the properties. An office has now been opened at Heath Park in Honiton, and a small team of direct employees recruited. Key sub-contractors have been working closely with Underhill Building Services to ensure a comprehensive service is provided. Feedback
from clients to date has been very positive with high marks in on our
customer satisfaction surveys. We look forward to continuing from this
excellent start.
Railways ...... Underhill Engineering have recently undertaken specialist training in Screwfast Foundations piling techniques, and are now one of the few companies in the South West able to offer this skill and service. This principle has been utilised on Railway signal structures at Bathampton, Plymouth and Probus, with further installations planned for the South West peninsula.
Building services ...... Underhill Building Services has successfully completed the refurbishment and extension of Millwater Special School. The children and teachers are now able to enjoy new spacious classrooms and a specialist treatment room for those with learning difficulties. The client is extremely satisfied with the end result and commented on Underhill’s ability to retain a stress free environment for teachers and pupils during the work phase. Ships ......... Underhill
Engineering are continuing their close relationship with Systems providers
of enhancement packages for MOD vessels in Plymouth and Portsmouth. By
working closely on-board the vessels with the ship’s crew and system
providers, a minimum downtime and disruption programme is effected to
the mutual benefit of all parties. Customer feedback remains excellent
with praise being directed at key members of our team on their professionalism,
flexibility and programme adherence. Computer Aided Design ...... Our commitment to new technology continues - the Group has recently invested heavily in AUTOCAD workstations and has recruited two key personnel to provide specialist CAD capabilities within the Engineering Company. This encompassing of new technology and personnel enables the Group to offer more bespoke solutions to clients in a fast and efficient manner.
